King Mohammed VI congratulated RS Berkane on winning the CAF Confederation Cup at the expense of the South African team Orlando Pirates.

The King sent a congratulatory message to all the members of the club, including players, coaches, technicians, administrators and fans, on the occasion of the club winning the title and retaining the Moroccan title for the third consecutive season.

The telegram read: “We cannot fail to note our pride in this honorary continental title for your club and for Moroccan football, which you have won with brilliance and distinction for the second time thanks to your serious efforts and fervent desire to represent Morocco in the best international competitions and uplift flag. The national flag faltered on the catwalks.”

The king of the country confirmed that this coronation will give the club the opportunity to achieve more in the coming seasons in the context of completing its development at title level.

Berkani’s team beat South Africa’s team on penalties five:four after the original time ended in a goalless draw and the same goal was scored in extra time.
