Rubin Kazan fell to the first division after losing 2-1 to their guest, Ufa, in the match they face today, Saturday, on the 30th and final day of the Russian Premier League.
Both teams entered the field to try and escape the specter of relegation, and one draw was enough for Robin’s side to keep their hopes of staying on top flight, while Ufa just needed to win.
Rubin started the match perfectly when he took the lead through his star Vitaly Lisakovic from a penalty kick in the 37th minute.
9 minutes after the start of the second half, Ufa equalized Vladislav Kamilov.
In the last minute of original time, Ufa snatched three points of the game by scoring Colombian Dylan Ortis ’second goal.
Rubin’s team had a golden opportunity to equalize via penalty, but Lisakovic wasted it in the 13th minute of extra time.

With this victory, Ufa raised its mark to 30 points, to climb to 14th place, while Rubin (29 points) fell to 15th place after the defeat.
Three teams will be relegated to the First Division, namely: the two teams from the last 15 and 16 spots, plus the losing team in the Premier League survival match, which will then combine the 13th and 14th spots.
Thus, Rubin Kazan and Arsenal Tula were confirmed, in positions 15 and 16, respectively.
Meanwhile, they will meet in a decisive match to neutralize the third relegated team, 13th and 14th place, Khimki and Ufa.
It is noteworthy that the Zenit St. Petersburg clinched an early Russian Premier League crown three days before the end of the competition.
