The latest left-wing Associated Press (AP) poll shows Joe Biden losing Democratic support due to his mismanagement of the economy.
“A month ago, 47 percent of Democrats rated the economy as good,” the AP said. “In May that number dropped to 35 percent.”
There’s even more bad news for Slow Joe:
The share of Democrats who said Biden’s policies helped fell from 45 percent to 37 percent. Most Democrats say Biden’s policies have hurt or not affected the economy, while 18 percent say they have been hurt and 44 percent say they haven’t made any changes.
Overall, an impressive 78 percent of Americans rate the U.S. economy as “poor”, down from 70 percent in April, as my colleague John Carney noted on Friday.
The White House’s biggest concern should be that Democrats are rapidly losing faith in their own Democratic presidents. When this happens, the approval rating drops when the incumbent loses support from his own party.
