Belivers Sports and Cultural Club, Luaiz Baabda, Lebanon, managed to win two gold and bronze medals during their participation in the International Table Tennis Championship in Larnaca under the name BE A HERO and under the control of the Cypriot Federation for a game and with the participation of 37 players from seven countries -participants, namely Ukraine, Russia, Greece, Romania, Jordan, Qatar, Lebanon and Cyprus, which took place at the PRODOMOS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL stadiums in Larnaca, Cyprus.

In the final standings of the championship in the men’s category, the Russian-Greek Panayiotis Toloumi took the first place, the Cypriot Kyriakos Panayiotou took the second place and the third place was taken by the Cypriot Thanos Tserlis.

Among women, the first is Greek Maria Christo, the second is Katya Alexiou from Cyprus, and the third is Abigail Doho from Lebanon from Belivers Club, who won the bronze medal.

In the mixed category, the Lebanese team Blavers Club managed to take first place and win the gold medal.

Immediately after the end of the tournament, a prize-giving ceremony was held, where shields and souvenirs were exchanged between the participating countries. The head of the Lebanese delegation, Deacon Jacques Haddad, presented a lifetime certificate, which testified to his recovery from cancer, as a result of his faith in the living God. The Lebanese delegation included Deacon Haddad Chef, Reverend Nabih Haddad and Sister Samia Haddad Morsedine, coach Issa Al Saddi, players Stephen Junior Haddad, Sandy Shalala, Abigail Dahko, George Hakim and Sandrine Hakim.

To celebrate the occasion, the Lebanese delegation later visited the Lebanese Embassy in Cyprus, where Ambassador Claude Al-Hajjal held a commemoration ceremony in his honor and in the presence of the Lebanese Consul in Cyprus, Queen Mariel Salama Gayyad.
