The English international right back Lucy Bronze, daughter of a Portuguese father, will play the next two seasons in the FC Barcelona women’s team, the Catalan club announced this Saturday.
“Lucy Bronze signs for FC Barcelona until 2024”, wrote the Catalan club on its official website, in a text accompanied by the player who already equips ‘Barça’.
Coming from Manchester City, the club with which her contract expired in 2021/22, Lucy Bronze is one of the best players of the last decade, having been named UEFA’s best player in 2019 and receiving the ‘The Best’ award from the FIFA in 2020.

“I am very happy to play for a club like FC Barcelona, one of the biggest clubs in the world. I am looking forward to starting to work with the team. After a couple of conversations, you can’t say no to ‘Barça’”, Bronce said.
Born on October 28, 1991, Lúcia Roberto Tough Bronze, who was on the brink of opting for the Portuguese national team before making her debut for the English team in 2013, started for Sunderland and also went through Everton, Liverpool and the French in the Lyons.
Lucy Bronze is one of 23 chosen by hosts England for the final tournament of the 2022 European Women’s Championship, which runs from 6-31 July.
