OF Mossberg & Sons has long been known for their incredible shotguns, but the MC2c pistol is part of their effort to create an equally big name in the concealed carry market.
The MC2c optic we tested was ready to use, but there was also a TruGlo Tritium PRO scope that we preferred to use instead of adding optics. (We have a lot of experience with the TruGlo scope on the H&K and Glock pistol.)
The MC2c has great ergonomics and a well-balanced gun. The relief on the pistol grip ensures that the pistol fits securely in the hand.
The trigger is flat and includes built-in safety. About 5.5 pounds is clean. Pressure and thrust are easy to learn.
Magazine capacity options: 13+1 or 15+1. We use a 15-round magazine plus one in the chamber on our MC2c.
On the first day, we fired about 140 rounds in the MC2c, and these were three different shell types: FMJ, steel case and +P hollow tip. The MC2c did not hiccup, doubt or fail in any way.
Again, the MC2c is intended to be concealed carry. We have a holster and will try to wear the MC2c all day in different climates of the country (Arizona, Colorado, Texas, Indiana, etc.), then we can talk in detail about the convenience of a pistol for everyday carry.
At this point, we can say that the MC2c represents everything a Mossberg could want: a reliable pistol with great ergonomics, high precision, and an appetite for 9mm cartridges of any type.
the only downside which is not a disadvantageTruGlo Tritium Pro scopes are so good that many MC2c owners can use them instead of adding optics.
