The Lebanese women’s basketball team (under 16) scored a second victory after a fantastic performance as they turned the score 11 points behind in the final minutes to win the Asian Championship (B-level) held at the Prince Hamza Hall in Jordan’s capital Ammane narrowly outscored his Jordanian counterpart by 4 points and a score of (60-56). The result of the quarters fell on Iran: (12-16) (14-10) (14-11) (16-23), and thus Lebanon advanced to the next round of the tournament.

In the previous match, Lebanon suffered the only defeat against Iran after defeating Kazakhstan on the first day (59-47).

There are eight countries participating in the “B” level tournament, which are divided into two groups as follows:

– Group one: Indonesia, Syria, Samoa and the Philippines.

The second group: Kazakhstan, Lebanon, Jordan and Iran.

The first place team in the tournament will qualify for the ‘A’ level, knowing that the ‘B’ level championship coincides with the establishment of the Asian Championship for the ‘A’ level, which includes 8 countries plus Jordan.
