Akuri added that the club contacted the Lebanese Football Association, which indicated that “there is no decision to ban fans from entering the stands, knowing that fans are usually absent from second division matches, and fans of the visiting team are prohibited from entering the stands, especially due to the absence security forces to ensure the match.”
He pointed out that as the match approached, “provocations by the players of the opposing team, along with refereeing errors, contributed to an increase in the level of tension, which led to friction between the players, after which a number of fans present at the stadium intervened, without the intervention of the university security apparatus , consisting of 6 elements, is able to control the situation due to the large number of people involved in the forms, which led to injuries to two players of the university team, namely Tanios Akiki, who underwent suture surgery (8 poles), and Emil Maroun, who after a head injury, he remained under observation in the hospital for 24 hours, and a number of others received minor injuries.

Akiki revealed that his team had filed an objection and that he would be with the team pending the federation’s decision, noting that the opposing team’s lawyer is Boutros Said, the father of player Nadeem Said, and he is the head of the appeals department. committee of the Lebanese Basketball Federation.

On the other hand, the president of the NSA Basketball Club, Nadeem Said, spoke about the uniforms, and in a telephone conversation with the electronic newspaper Sport, he said: we were insulted as a team. Said added that the team has pledged to increase the number of its fans by 20%.
