The Egyptian Football Association has approved the date of the Egyptian Super Cup match between the league and cup champions and has made several important decisions.

Al-Ittihad indicated in a statement posted on his Twitter accounts that the Super Bowl match will take place on October 21 between league champions Zamalek and cup winners, which is expected to be decided on July 21.

This is the fifth time that Abu Dhabi has hosted the Egyptian Super Cup as the match was previously held in the Emirates during the following years: 2015, 2017, 2018 and 2020.

The Egyptian Federation also confirmed in a statement the appointment of Englishman Mark Clattenburg as head of the referee development committee and also approved the hosting of the match between Egypt and Malawi in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier at the Alexandria Stadium. and at the full capacity of the stadium, in agreement with the security authorities.

It was also decided to consider the results of the first round of the league championship for this season as a criterion for the selection of clubs participating in the African championships, and it will be announced after the end of all matches of the first round on the 7-6th. 2022.
