The second West Asian Men’s and Women’s (U20) Athletics Championships, organized by the Lebanese Athletics Federation, kicked off until Wednesday at the Al Jamhoor Club Stadium under the auspices of the President of the Republic, General Michel Aoun, with the participation of nine countries, namely the Sultanate of Oman , Kuwait, Qatar, Yemen, Iraq, Jordan and Syria, Palestine and Lebanon.
On the first day in front of a large audience, Lebanon, Qatar, Syria, Kuwait and Jordan won two gold medals, as well as many silver and bronze medals.
