On Sunday, the Pittsburgh Steelers announced that their home stadium, Heinz Field, will no longer be called Heinz Field. Instead, the name of the field will be Acrisure Stadium.
The stadium has been named after HJ Heinz for over 20 years. However, after a new naming rights deal failed, the site was launched and acquired by Michigan-based insurance company Acrisure.
However, while Acrisure is undoubtedly excited about the new arrangement, Steelers fans are not. Fans took to Twitter and started talking right away.
A stadium announcement about naming rights in Pittsburgh alone can be a terrible PR situation for your company. #Akrisur

Acrisure Field, on the other hand, is really not going to be called by anyone. Huge waste of money on their part.

Akrisur stadium? WTF! How can Pittsburgh leaders let this happen to all the big companies in the area?

I’m from Michigan and I live in Michigan. I haven’t heard of Akrisura. I’m just as confused as you are, Pitt.

Some applauded:
Stop calling the stadium Akrisur.

Heinz Field will become Acrisure Stadium due to the name change. @Midilli Express.
The new name fades away like the last couple falls into a bottle of ketchup.

Would you call it Akrisur Stadium?

But most people hated it. The Steelers will start the 2022 season with a new quarterback for the first time in nearly 20 years and a new stadium name for the first time in over 20 years.
Hopefully the fans will like the new QB more than the new stadium name.
