Spanish handball coach Roberto Garcia Barrondo expressed his satisfaction with reaching the semi-finals of the African Cup of Nations and his team’s performance against Algeria.

The Egyptian team managed to defeat their Algerian counterpart 34-19 in the quarter-finals of the African Cup of Nations, which Egypt will host until the 18th of this month, to reach the semi-finals against Tunisia and guarantee qualification for the next World Cup.

Barrondo indicated that the team is just around the corner from achieving the league title.

He added that today they will play in the semi-finals and he would prefer to rest, but this is the tournament system, and they must respect it.

He stressed that the Tunisian team is strong and they know it well and they have faced it a lot in recent years, but this is a match like any other game and the goal is to win and reach the final.

In conclusion, the Spanish coach thanked the big fans who supported them in all matches, emphasizing that their goal is to make them happy with the African title.
