The Portuguese rugby team lost this Saturday in Georgia by 23-14, in a match of the summer international “window” of the world rugbywhich served as preparation for the playoff tournament for the 2023 World Cup.
In Kutaisi, Portugal was already losing 9-6 at the break, a result that was extended in the second half with two attempts converted by the Georgians before just one unconverted touch on the goal by the “wolves”.
It was the third and last game for Portugal in the summer “window”, after the defeats with the Italian national teamsfor 38-31, and from Argentina XV, antechamber team of the “pumas”, by 52-35, both at the Estádio do Restelo, in Lisbon.
The final playoff tournament for the 2023 World Cup takes place between November 6-18, in Dubai, with Portugal and Kenya confirmed so far.
