The fast-paced friendship between golf pros Tiger Woods and Bryson DeChambeau seems to have ended after DeChambeau joined LIV Golf.
At LIV International in Bedminster, New Jersey, over the weekend, DeChambeau was asked about Woods. However, he noted that he has not spoken to Tiger since LIV was announced.
“I really respect what you have to say. DeChambeau said of Woods: I will work hard to prove myself that I am worth my price, to be myself personally,” he said.
“We were pretty close and unfortunately we didn’t talk, we’ll talk again someday, and I’m always open to talking to anyone,” he added, “I’m okay with that and I hope. we can go and see.” in a personal conversation.”

He added that Woods understood that he needed to protect himself. “This is his legacy. I totally understand that. It’s a bit muddy right now,” DeChambeau said.
DeChambeau also insisted that LIV wouldn’t exist if it wasn’t for Tiger.
“I have great respect for Tiger; Look, it wouldn’t have happened without Tiger,” he added, noting that Tiger made golf so popular and created the conditions that allowed LIV to gain a foothold in golf.
However, Tiger was unaffected by LIV. In July, Woods criticized the Saudi-backed league for undermining professional golf.

Woods began by welcoming the PGA Tour’s decision to ban LIV promoter Gregg Norman from the PGA.
Woods said of Norman, “Greg has done some things that I don’t think are in the best interest of our game, and we’re going back to what’s probably the most historic and traditional place in our sport.” Said.
Woods added that golfers who choose to exit the PGA are hurting golf.
“Players who decided to move to LIV and play there, I disagree,” Woods said. “I think what they did was they turned their backs on the things that allowed them to get into this position. Some players don’t even get a chance to experience it – they come straight to this organization from the rookie ranks and they don’t get a chance to play here and they don’t know what it’s like to play in a Tour program or some. great event.”
