Former Celtic player Kieran Tierney has revealed that his teammates committed suicide. The 25-year-old Scottish star, who currently plays for Arsenal, says he regrets that none of his friends were able to share their problems with him before they committed suicide. Tierney now sees it as his duty to help others after struggling with mental health when he left Scotland to join Arsenal three years ago. Tierney left his family and friends behind to travel to London following a £25 million deal. He said in the documentary, “It was hard at first and I suffered so much. At first, the homesickness was terrible. I, for my part, did not think of suicide, but some of my friends did. Two or three of them committed suicide. committed suicide and died. They never told me about their feelings. So I think I feel a certain responsibility to try to help in any way I can, because I kind of know what it’s like to be in a certain place.”
