World No. 1 Daniil Medvedev of Russia and Australian Wimbledon runner-up Nick Kyrgios will meet in the second round of the Montreal Masters after the latter beat Argentina’s Sebastian Paes 6-4, 6-4.

“It will be a good test and we will have a lot of fun. He is an amazing player. He is unconventional, a beast,” the Australian said of the meeting with Medvedev, who also won his first title of the season in Los Angeles. Cabos last week.
