Saudi weightlifter Mansour Al Salim won gold in the 55kg weightlifting competition at the Islamic Solidarity Games held in Konya, Turkey.

Thus, Al-Mansour claimed the first gold for Saudi Arabia in the tournament, in addition to silver and the net.

Saudi Arabia’s Ali Al-Mabrouk won bronze in taekwondo in the 80kg weight division after losing to Hussein Tarkal of Turkey in the semifinals.

Saudi Arabia also advanced to the team final after beating Yemen 3-0 in the semi-finals.

In swimming, Paralympic swimmer Turki Al-Harbi reached the 100m freestyle final finishing third in a time of 1:09.18 minutes, while fellow swimmer Ibrahim Al-Marzouki finished sixth in 1:58.64 minutes.

At the track and field level, the Saudi Arabian track and field team of Abdullah Abkar, Mohammed Daoud, Ahmed Marwani and Fahad Al Subayeh reached the final of the 4×100 relay, placing third with a time of 40.12 seconds.
