In news that should surprise no one, Cleveland Browns QB Deshawn Watson was booed loudly and obscenely by Jaguar fans during his preseason debut in Jacksonville on Friday.
Here is an example of a greeting Watson received:

They also cheered when Watson’s receivers stopped transmissions. To be fair, Jags fans will likely cheer for missed passes from any opposing receivers. Although it looks like they added a little more.

Jags fans did things differently, too, working on the “No means no” slogan.

On Friday, Watson issued an apology of sorts. QB Browns, who has been accused of more than two dozen cases of sexual harassment, said in a pre-game interview that he was “sorry for all the women he touched” in this case.
“Look, I just want to say I’m really sorry to all the women I’ve influenced in this situation,” Watson said in an interview. “The decisions I’ve made in my life have brought me to this position, I definitely want to go back, but I want to keep moving forward, to grow, to learn and to show that I am a real person with character and I will keep going.” Further” .
Of course, the “apology” doesn’t give details of what he actually did, and it only comes as he awaits a decision on the NFL’s suspension, which could significantly increase the number of games he’ll miss.
Watson also offered an eight-game suspension last week in return for a six-game suspension given to him by former federal judge Sue L. Robinson.
Either way, Watson can expect a similar welcome every time he takes the field this season, unless, of course, he’s playing for Cleveland.
