Brian Robinson, whom Washington had fled, fired several shots during the robbery attempt.

Running back, Washington Commander Brian Robinson was hospitalized after being shot multiple times during a robbery attempt.

Robinson’s condition is stable and his injuries are not life-threatening, according to NBC Sports reporter JP Finlay. NFL Media’s Tom Pelissero also reported that two bullets hit Robinson’s lower body.

The attack occurred during the theft of a car, the suspect has still not been found.

Robinson did not play in a friendly against the Baltimore Ravens on Saturday. Earlier this year, he was recognized as the best rookie after being selected from Alabama by the Washington Commanders in the third round.

“During the first two friendlies, Robinson rushed 14 times for 57 yards, scored one touchdown, and caught two passes for 15 yards,” NBC said.

Robinson’s attack marks the second time a popular athlete has been accidentally attacked in just over a month. In early July, NASCAR star Bobby East died at the age of 37 from a stab wound to his chest at a California gas station. The murder took place in Westminster when homeless Trent William Millsap allegedly stabbed East in the chest while filling his car. Doğu was pronounced dead after being taken to a nearby hospital.

“The victim was found on the ground with a severe stab wound to the chest,” Westminster police said of East’s murder. “Officers worked on life support until OCFA medics arrived and took the victim to a local trauma center, where the victim succumbed to her wounds.”

According to the Orange County District Attorney’s office, Millsap died in a SWAT raid in an Anaheim apartment two days after the execution of the arrest warrant. Millsap was reported to have died as police tried to arrest him. He is also accused of stabbing another man at 76 Gas Station before allegedly killing Doğu.
