An animal rights extremist group reportedly disrupted the Buffalo Bills-LA Rams season opener on Thursday by running pink smoke bombs.
Two women carrying the pink smoke bomb, Emek Echo and Katya Shokray, rushed to the field and collided right in front of the players.

The extremist group Direct Action Everywhere claimed responsibility for the protest.
The animal rights group said it was trying to draw attention to the lawsuit Smithfield Foods filed against several whistleblowers who were jailed for exposing farm abuses.
“Smithfield, like the animal industry itself, is a barbaric house of cards built on shameless, systematic abuse and a desperate attempt to hide that abuse from the public,” Shokrai said in a statement. Said. “I want the world to know that animal rescuers face years in prison for the undue influence of this company on our democracy.”
The same group played three Timberwolves games this year to protest a chicken processing plant owned by team owner Glen Taylor.
The group also tries to disrupt Nathan’s annual hot dog eating contest, but receives a quick blow from champ Joey Chestnut, who has no hiccups.
Video of Chestnut’s reaction to the protester went viral:
