Portugal youth Joao Felix, star of Atlético Madrid, reacted to the news that he was close to joining Manchester United during last year’s Mercato.

“I didn’t hear anything and that was what the president had to deal with,” Felix told Spanish newspaper Marca of Manchester United’s €130m offer.

Fabrizio Romano, an expert on the European transfer market, commented on Felix’s statement on Twitter, saying: “There was never any official offer, it was just communication, so Joao is an untouchable player.”

And Al Roohi star Blancos touched on the challenge of Real Madrid and Barcelona in the League, saying: “I see that the team is ready for this, we are always fighting for the League. We will prove it in the derby.”

Felix was asked: “As a friend of Griezmann, how do you see his position outside the starting XI because of his contract?” He replied: “It’s a club thing. Griezmann does a great job when he comes out, he scored 3 goals.” and will continue to do so.”
