The Englishman of the Egyptian Mohamed El-Shorbagi expressed his joy over the victory in the Qatar Classical Squash Championship for the fourth time.
World No. 5 El-Shorbagy won the title after beating French rival World No. 18 Victor Crown three sets to one in the capital Doha.
El Shorbagy won the match in his favor in 48 minutes with a score of 11-4, 11-6, 7-11, 11-8.
Notably, Egyptian squash player Mohamed El-Shorbagy, who has English citizenship, announced last June that he would represent England instead of Egypt at international level.
As for his French opponent, Al-Shorbagy confirmed that he played a good match and that he knows him since he previously played against him in 2019 and then he said that he would be a very dangerous squash player and that he would become a champion once.
He added that the first major championship he won was the Qatar Classic Squash in 2013, and this year he won for the fourth time, which shows the stability of his level over ten years, stressing that he is always trying to improve the level he has reached. .
For his part, Frenchman Victor Crown confirmed that he is well aware of the difficulty of the final match, especially since he is up against one of the best squash players in the world, Mohamed El Shorbagy, who has won the championship three times and has a lot of experience with final matches.
He added that he hoped to achieve his goal of winning the title, but I ran into an outstanding player, which I thought was a very remarkable event in light of the participation of a good group of the best players in the world. and that it would give him great moral motivation to do his best in the upcoming tournaments.
