Manchester City head coach Josep Guardiola stressed the importance of tomorrow’s meeting with Borussia Dortmund in the second round of the Champions League group stage.
At the press conference after the match, Guardiola said: “Our goal is to always win the match, we need a team to beat Dortmund tomorrow.”
He added: “We won the first round at home, we were lucky because we won’t be traveling and will be playing at home.”
Regarding the postponement of the English Premier League matches after the death of Queen Elizabeth, he commented: “We are facing a fait accompli, everyone is sad, but we must respect this tradition.”
And he added, speaking of Holland: “We tried many times to bring him here and we are happy that we have him now, and we had a great striker, Gabriel Jesus, but we respected his decision when he told us that he wanted to leave.”
And about the difference that Haaland makes in the Champions League, he replied: “I can not answer, we will find out from the matches.”
