Juventus striker Arkadiusz Milik has expressed anger over a 2-1 defeat to Benfica in the second round of the Champions League group stage.

Milik said: “For the first 25 minutes we controlled the game, played well and scored and didn’t lose. There was physical exhaustion, something was missing, and at the moment we are not looking for excuses. we have to take responsibility.”

He added: “Benfica have shown a lot and now we have to shut up, work hard, be more aggressive on the pitch and every player has to take responsibility and we have a lot of games ahead of us.”

He continued: “I don’t care about the goals scored, I’m happy that the team is winning, we have to do it together and hopefully win the next game, win and lose together. This is a difficult moment and we want to get out of it as soon as possible.”

When asked about Juventus’ main problem, he said: “This is a question that is difficult for me to answer and we have to find a solution together and the team cannot physically retreat in just 30 minutes.”

He completed his statements about playing alongside Vlahovic: “I think we can do more and we haven’t played many games together, I just arrived and the more we play the better. Vlahovic is a strong player and over time we will see how things go.”
