Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo interrupted this season’s performance in his Manchester United team’s match against Moldova’s Sheriff Tiraspol in the second round of the Europa League group stage.

Manchester United ended the first half with two unanswered goals scored by Jadon Sancho in the 17th minute and Cristiano Ronaldo in the 39th minute from the penalty spot.

This is Ronaldo’s first goal for Manchester United this season after 6 appearances in the English Premier League and a match he played in the first round of the Europa League against Real Sociedad.

It is also the first goal scored by Ronaldo in his Europa League career, knowing that he is the historical top scorer in the European Champions League with 140 goals and becomes the highest scoring player in the European Championships with 144 goals.

Ronaldo has achieved the 699th goal of his career with the clubs he has played for, and Sheriff is the 124th club that Cristiano has managed to score in all competitions.
