Manchester United’s Jadon Sancho has no intention of turning down a place in the England squad for the World Cup.

The 22-year-old has been one of Manchester United’s most important players in recent weeks as Eric Ten Hag’s side beat Sharif 2-0 in the Europa League.

But Sancho hasn’t done enough to secure a place in the England squad for the upcoming international break as Gareth Southgate’s side are set to play Italy and Germany in the Nations League.

Sancho said: “The World Cup is one of the goals, but it’s a pity that I didn’t get the call.”

“But I have to keep focusing on myself and work hard week after week. And that’s what I’m going to do.”

Ten Hag praised Sancho’s influence after his performance against Sharif and said, “I think Jadon has a lot of potential, he was good before the season, he invested a lot in the beginning and is now on his way to getting really good.”
