Tottenham striker Eric Dier has thanked manager Antonio Conte for helping him get called up again.

Tottenham Hotspur defender Dyer has been called up by England manager Gareth Southgate in preparation for Italy vs Germany in the European Nations League.

Dier made his last 45 international caps in November 2020.

However, the player’s brilliance with Spurs made him a candidate for the opportunity to play with England in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

“I’m just looking forward to moving forward and, as Conte said this week, there’s still a lot I can do,” Dyer said. “Honestly, that’s not what I was thinking about.”

He continued: “I’m thinking about doing my best with Tottenham and the only thing I can control is that.”

“I’m just grateful for the way my teammates and coaching staff at Tottenham have supported me, supported me and tried to help me get back into the national team.”
