Qatari rider Nasser Saleh Al-Attiyah finished third in the penultimate round of the Extreme E Championship Cooper X Tour in Chile.
Al-Attiyah took the podium for the first time in the ‘Extreme E’ World Electric Off-Road Vehicle Championship for Electric SUVs, finishing third with Team Cobra, 8.612 minutes behind French leader Sébastien Loeb in Team X44, owned by Lewis Hamilton and managed by Prodrive. with a time of 8:59,728 hours, while veteran Spaniard Carlos Sainz finished second, 6.093 minutes behind the leader.
Al-Attiyah expressed his happiness to be on the podium for the first time, stressing that the changes in the team’s tactics gave good results, noting that being on the podium was a great motivation before the last round in Uruguay.
