Stephen Curry said NBA teams are gearing up to strip the Golden State Warriors of the title as pre-season games kick off this week in Japan ahead of the new season.

Superstar Corey is aiming to win his fifth title with the start of the new season next month and has urged his comrades to rise to the challenge.

“It’s very easy to stay motivated because we want to keep that feeling going for as long as possible,” said Kore of Japan, where his team is preparing for two games against the Washington Wizards.

“We know very well that defending a title is the hardest part of our sport. Few teams can do that and every team is preparing to beat us again, so we have to accept that and try to get better.”

The 34-year-old confirmed that he has had a rest period after a “crazy and busy summer” and is eager to start competing next season.

And he added: “I’m looking forward to getting back to the routine of the season, because this is the place that brings me happiness, as I try to be the best basketball player and prepare for this season.”
