Russia uses a locally developed digital platform for government agencies

Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Chernyshenko announced that government agencies in different regions of the country will rely on digital platforms developed with Russian expertise in their work.

During the conference “Infobereg” Chernychenko said: “11 regions of the Russian Federation and six federal executive authorities will participate in a pilot project to transfer government information systems (GIS) to the locally developed Gostech platform .”

The official pointed out that the creation of a secure and unified digital platform is an important part of a comprehensive solution to the problem of import substitution in the digital space, noting that the data security of this platform will be ensured by proven technical solution with unified technical solutions. “Russian authorities have strengthened their cybersecurity control of critical information infrastructure facilities, of which there are more than 63,000 institutions in the country,” said Chernychenko.

Earlier, Chernychenko promised a large-scale transfer of state information systems to the Gostech platform in 2024, noting that this would speed up the development of state information systems by 2-3 times.
