The Lisbon Zoo announced on Monday that it has a new Burmese deer calf, a species considered endangered, and revealed that it will celebrate the baby’s first month of life on Saturday, as part of the Christmas season.
“Classified as endangered by the International Union for Conservation of Nature, this species is primarily threatened by hunting. for human consumption and obtaining the stems“, says a statement from the Lisbon Zoo.

The zoo will carry out free activities that will take place throughout all the weekends until Christmas, the first day (December 3) will be to celebrate the first month of life of this calf at the same time as the arrival of Santa Claus.
Among other activities, children will be able to access the “Reading corner“, have fun at the “Oficina dos Brinquedos”, participate in the “Atelier de Construccião de Brinquedos” and meet Santa Claus and write him a letter.
