Civil Protection registered more than 7,950 occurrences in the national territory, 4,841 floods and 88 displaced people since last week, when the meteorological instability began.

In a situation report made this Thursday to the Lusa agency, with data from 00:00 on the 7th to 08:00 this Thursday, José Costa, from the National Emergency and Civil Protection Authority (ANEPC), He said that 29,651 operating assets and 9,803 pieces of land are involved in the operations.

In all, there were 7,954 events were recorded, most of which were floods (4,841)followed by street cleaning (1,017).

The bad weather that has been felt since last week has gone 88 people displaced -“which in the meantime may already have been relocated or be in support centers for the population”- and also caused 961 tree falls, 573 structure falls and 527 mass movements (slides), added the official.

According to the operations officer, there were also 15 land rescues and 10 water rescues.

The most affected districts were Lisbon, with 4,281 incidentsSetúbal (849), Santarém (461), Coimbra (343) and Portalegre (307).

Speaking to Lusa, José Costa recalled that this Thursday no precipitation warnings have been issued, only a yellow warning due to maritime disturbances in the south of the country (Lisbon, Setúbal, Beja and Faro).

The official also said that the special yellow alert status for civil protection forces and agents remains active, at least, until 11:59 p.m. this Thursday.
