While researching an important rock formation in the state of Arizona, a tourist found a group of “living fossils” that existed on our planet about 550 million years ago.
In The Wave, a group of prehistoric shrimp swimming in a pool of water is videotaped, a tadpole shrimp that lives with dinosaurs.
Adar Leibowitz, 29, was visiting a rock formation when he saw some strange creatures with three eyes in a lake.

This computer engineer posted on his “Instagram” account, “I’m so confused because I’m in the middle of the desert and there are creatures in the pond, how can this?”
The crew, named after the Greek word for “three eyes”, are sometimes called tadpole shrimp because of their long, webbed tails, or “shield shrimp” because of their helmet-like shells.
These creatures also have two large compound eyes and a small eye, or “simple eye,” in the middle that has photoreceptors that help detect light.
Triops is called the “dinosaur shrimp” because its exterior has not changed much from fossils from the Devonian period between 419 million and 359 million years ago.
The video shows four Triops swimming in a shallow pool within a spectacular rock formation.
Although Triops sightings are rare, another sighting was also reported in Arizona last year.
And in October, the monsoons awaken the exotic crustaceans from decades of hibernation.
