The Russian company “Kalashnikov” has announced that it is developing new engines for military boats in the army, to abandon imported engines.
On the subject, company president Alan Luchnikov said, “Kalashnikov is working on the Russian army’s plan to build BK-10 fast military boats, and we have come up with a plan to supply these boats with engines of domestic production. to give up the imported ones. Around the Russian Navy”.

It is very important to develop new engine and power systems in accordance with the standards required for the modernization of the BK-10 and BK-16 boats, and we are trying to achieve this with domestic resources.
Russia designed the BK-10 boats as high-speed boats used in naval landings, support to military forces, anti-piracy operations, maritime smuggling and counter-terrorism operations. The modified BK-10 can move at 40 knots and 400 nautical miles per Mission.
The armament system on each of these boats includes 4 machine guns of 7.62 and 12.7 mm caliber, and can also be equipped with grenade launchers and guided missile launchers.
