“BAS-200” made a test flight in the Arctic, delivering mail to those interested in severe weather conditions in the north.

The aircraft “BAS-200”, manufactured by the Russian company “Rostec”, made a successful test flight on the Yamal Peninsula in Northern Siberia, near the coast of the Arctic Ocean and over the Ob River, and the flight was at – 30 degrees Celsius. As for the useful load, it weighs 10 kilograms.

A Rostec spokeswoman said the weight of the load could increase.

The spokesman explained that the design of the march was carried out on the basis of a quadcopter helicopter, adding that this type of unmanned aircraft makes 7 flights daily and shows high efficiency.

It is noteworthy that the march “BAS-200” was presented for the first time at the HeliRussia 2022 exhibition of the Russian helicopter industry, and it was announced that the march can perform various types of tasks, including control on land, freight. transportation, rescue missions and farming jobs.

It is noteworthy that the march weighs 200 kg at takeoff, can fly at a speed of up to 160 km/h and can carry a payload of up to 50 kg. Then it can stay in the air for 4 hours and fly up to 3900 kg altitude.
