Nine districts of the continent are under yellow alert this Friday due to the forecast of showers, sometimes heavyaccompanied by thunderstorms and occasionally hail, according to the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA).
The districts of Bragança, Viseu, Évora, Guarda, Faro, Vila Real, Beja, Castelo Branco and Coimbra will be under yellow notice between 12 and 9 p.m. this Friday and between 9 and 9 p.m. on Saturday.
The IPMA issued the same warning for the districts of Porto, Setúbal, Santarém, Viana do Castelo, Lisbon, Leiria, Aveiro, Portalegre and Braga due to the forecast of showers, sometimes strong and accompanied by storms, between 00:00 and 9:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Institute’s warning also extends to the central region of the Azores archipelago, which was on orange alert, with bad weather expected between 12:00 and 3:00 p.m. this Friday.

The yellow warning, the least severe on a scale of threeIt is issued by the IPMA whenever there is a risk situation for certain activities depending on the weather situation.
