This afternoon a tornado hit Isla Cristina, a city in the province of Huelva, just 10 kilometers from Vila Real de Santo António, in the Algarve.
According to the The CountryThe tornado tore off the roof of a municipal swimming pool, and caused extensive damage to a sports hall, in addition to also causing damage to several cars and homes.
According to a municipal spokesperson, the situation is now under control and only one minor injury has been reported, who was swimming in the pool when the tornado hit that infrastructure. The Spanish State Meteorological Agency has placed the province of Huelva on an orange warning due to bad weather.
The waterspout that has just affected the town of Isla Cristina is impressive.
