HE Business Association of the Coimbra Region (NERC) demanded on Monday to the Coimbra City Council to maintenance and cleaning of business parksafter stating that the councilor Miguel Fonseca “has done nothing since taking office, leaving deplorable conditions there.”
In the Taveiro Industrial Estate, with approximately 58 companies installed, “the “the lack of maintenance, the abandonment of daily life, the lack of cleaning with accumulation of garbage on public roads, damaged sidewalks, which make pedestrian circulation almost impossible, and unrepaired fire hydrants”the association stressed.
According to the Coimbra City Council, the maintenance of the Taveiro Industrial Estate became its responsibility as of January, after the Union of Parishes of Taveiro, Ameal and Arzila “abandoned it due to lack of resources.”
