EU Mission points out irregularities in the count and “unjustified” changes in Mozambique elections

The European Union Electoral Observation Mission (EU EOM) to Mozambique’s general elections on October 9 said this Tuesday that it found “irregularities during the recount and unjustified changes” in the electoral results that must be clarified.

“The EU EOM will remain in Mozambique to monitor the next phases of the electoral process. Subsequently, it will publish a final report, including its assessment and recommendations to improve the electoral framework,” the statement concludes.
