The availability was transferred by Sánchez after a visit, together with the president of the Valencian Community, Carlos Mazón, to the Integrated Operational Coordination Center, from where emergency work is coordinated in the areas affected by the storm.

At least a hundred people died in Spain due to torrential rains and floods that hit the east and south of the country on Wednesday night, according to the latest report from the authorities.

The Spanish Government declared three days of national mourning for the consequences of the bad weather, noting that there was “very high” personal damage but also material damage, with roads and other infrastructure and buildings damaged or destroyed by the violence of the waters that flooded entire towns. .
The executive also asked people in areas affected by bad weather not to leave their homes. and, above all, do not try to travel on the roads, highlighting that the storm still persists and its effects remain dangerous.
Since Tuesday, several regions of Spain have been under the influence of an “isolated high-level depression”, a meteorological phenomenon known as DANA, which caused torrential rains and incidents in several parts of the country, especially on the Mediterranean coast.
The most affected region was the Valencian Community, in the east of the country, with unprecedented levels of rain, which caused the most serious alerts and warnings from Civil Protection and Meteorology on Tuesday night.
