Dowd: If the Republican Party wins the Senate and a majority in the House of Representatives in the midterm elections, it’s “goodbye democracy.”

Matthew Dowd, former chief strategist of the 2004 Bush-Cheney presidential campaign, told MSNBC’s “The ReidOut” on Wednesday that if Republicans win a majority in the US House and Senate, it will be the end of democracy.

“It’s like Frankenstein created a monster and the monster woke up and now he’s destroying the village and losing control, that’s all. Eric Greitens is the perfect example. A step up from Donald Trump, the Republican candidate in Pennsylvania who organized buses to join the coup on Jan. 6,” Dowd said. He was one step ahead of Sarah Palin and Doug Mastriano. He’s the Republican candidate for governor of Pennsylvania, so we can’t consider these people isolated. They’re the United States of America, which has the potential to win the Senate and win the House of Representatives this year. The dominant theme of the great legacy party of ‘I am afraid of 2022 because if that happens, goodbye to democracy.”

“The first thing the Democratic Party has to do is we are in a different era and they trash their old plans to talk about 22 different politicians and their x, y and z plans. We don’t have a normal time. They need to think that the war against culture and the war for America is unleashed and unleashed in 10 or 15 years and the Democrats will build kitchens in barracks as the war continues. Democrats need to step up, believe and talk like that. This is a battle for the soul and heart of America. ”
