Red Frog: the Portuguese bar remains among the 100 best in the world, but drops six positions

Founded in 2015, Red Frog was born inspired by the speakeasies of the US during the Prohibition era. After leaving the space on Rua do Salitre, in Lisbon, he settled inside Monkey Mash, the group’s second bar, in Praça da Alegria, presenting itself as an authentic speakeasy. Since entering the top 100 ranking in 2017, occupying position 92, it has been a regular presence on the list. In 2018, it was recognized among the 50 Best Discoveries and, In 2022, it was ranked 40th in The World’s 50 Best Bars. The biggest drop occurred in 2023, when it reached 88th place, and now it drops another six positions, remaining in 94th place.

The awards ceremony will take place on October 22 in Madrid and includes the publication of the list of the 50 best bars in the world. Like other lists of the 50 best, the revelation of the 50 best bars in the world is carried out in stages, with the second half of the ranking being known first, between position 51 and 100.
