Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has signed amendments to the Penal Code providing for the death penalty for those guilty of terrorist acts.
The relevant law was published on the National Internet Law Portal on Wednesday.
In law, “As an exceptional measure of the Criminal Code, section 2 of article 124, section 3 of article 126.” The second part of article 359 of this law or those who willfully kill a person and some other particularly serious crimes.
This law applies to acts of international terrorism, specifically terrorism against the representative of a foreign state or an international organization, and of an organized group or through the use of nuclear materials or the use of radioactive materials, or through the use of chemical, biological or toxic substances or the murder of a person and statesmen or public figures.murder.
These changes to the Penal Code will take effect 10 days after their official publication.
