“As part of the Artemis lunar program, an unmanned flight of the Orion spacecraft is planned for August,” NASA President Bill Nelson said during a US House Appropriations Committee hearing on the Lunar Program’s Moon Flyby.

This is reported that in the spring of 2019, NASA announced the project of the Artemis lunar program, which consists of three stages. First stage (Artemis 1) Unmanned flight of Orion around the Moon and back to Earth. The second stage (“Artemis-2”) is a manned flight into orbit around the Moon. In the third phase of the Artemis 3 mission, NASA plans to land astronauts on the moon and then send them to Mars around the mid-1930s.

As you know, the timing of these stages varies due to various difficulties. Some time ago, NASA pushed for astronauts to keep preparing for the moon landing in 2024. But late last year, Bill Nelson said it was technically impossible. Therefore, the date should be changed to at least 2025.
