One person was killed and another was seriously injured in a shooting at a graduation ceremony in front of a high school in the U.S. state of Tennessee.
According to the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office, the gunman fired outside a stadium at Middle Tennessee State University, where 450 Riverdale High alumni and their families were celebrating their graduation.
Law enforcement said the shooting happened as the students and their parents were leaving the party.

Two victims were shot near the campus tennis court. Authorities said one person was declared dead at the scene, while a second was hospitalized in critical but stable condition.
The identities of the two victims have not been released and it is not yet known whether they are students or graduates.
At the press conference, police said the suspect was still a fugitive and should be viewed as armed and dangerous.
