Opposition demonstrations in Yerevan began early in the morning as demonstrators made a short march to the camp in France Square and then began to advance towards Republic Square. Yesterday, Monday, May 23, activists blocked the metro movement in the capital and demanded the resignation of the current prime minister, Nikol Pashinyan.

Earlier, on May 20, a group of opposition deputies tried to enter the hall of the Yerevan Hotel, where the Prime Minister is located, and a fight broke out with the guards, after which police surrounded the hotel and the demonstrators asked. He will be allowed to enter the “Democracy Forum”.

Demonstrations and protests against the government have been taking place in Yerevan since last April 17, as demonstrators protested Pashinyan’s stance on “reducing restrictions on Nagorno-Karabakh status and signing a peace agreement with Azerbaijan” .
