Hundreds of supporters of the opposition Socialist Party held a demonstration in front of the parliament building condemning the arrest of the former president, which was attended by representatives of parliament, members of the capital’s council and public figures.

Moldovan authorities had previously searched Dodon’s home, after which he was arrested allegedly on suspicion of bribery and treason.
