Reactions to the attack multiplied around the world and one of the most reactive was that of Democratic Senator from Connecticut, Chris Murphy. “What are we doing?” he asked before other senators.
“Our children live in fear every time they step foot in the classroom because they think they will be next. What are we doing? Why did we take so long to bring this to the Senate?” insisted the senator, who drew attention to the need to change the law to save lives.
The Ukrainian president expressed his condolences to the families of the children who died in the Texas attack. Speaking at an event on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum, Volodymyr Zelensky said it was “terrible to have victims of snipers in peacetime.”
