Report: Saudi Arabia posted the largest trade surplus in history in March

The Al-Eqtisadiah newspaper revealed that Saudi Arabia’s commodity trade balance posted an excess of 86.9 billion riyals in March, as exports reached 142.2 billion riyals, compared to imports. worth 55.2 billion riyals.

In a report based on official data, monitored by the newspaper’s reporting unit, Al-Eqtisadiah said that “the commodity trade surplus in March was the highest ever, according to available data.”

Al-Eqtisadiah also revealed in a report that “Saudi non-oil exports rose 25.4% last March, reaching 28.2 billion riyals, compared to 22.5 billion riyals in the same month of 2021., so Saudi non-oil rose. exports at the annual rate and for the fifteenth month, as it grew by 13% compared to the previous month (February).

The newspaper noted that “Saudi Arabia aims to diversify its economy by increasing the contribution of non-oil sectors to non-oil GDP, in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030,” citing “in the past that year, Saudi Arabia set a record in its non-oil exports, after it reached approximately 275 billion riyals.
