The Israeli police have released the latest details of their preparations for the flag march that will begin in Jerusalem next Sunday. In this context, an Israeli police spokesman indicated that “the procession of the flags will take place, as has happened every year for decades, from the center of Jerusalem to the Al-Buraq wall through the gates and lanes of the Old City without entering the Al-Aqsa Mosque.”

He explained that “more than 2,000 police officers will work before and during the media march in order to remain as calm as possible and prevent friction and violence,” stressing that “the police are ready and prepared with all technical means, in addition to the personnel of the open and secret police and will firmly and resolutely oppose any attempt to violate law and order.”

For its part, Israeli Army Radio reported that “Jerusalem police are establishing an operational headquarters in cooperation with the Israeli army and the Shin Bet to thwart any incitement around the flag march.”
